Recovery, preservation and reconstruction of the painting fragment in the Eastern Room of the Myślewicki Palace in the Royal Baths Museum in Warsaw

My degree project consisted in extensive conservation research in one of the second-storey rooms of the Myślewicki Palace in the Royal Baths in Warsaw, and resulting execution of full conservation activities within a chosen part of painting decoration. This task allowed me to use in practice the knowledge in the field of preservation and restoration of wall painting obtained during my studies, and also mobilized me to look for new solutions. My actions focused on correct execution of all treatments to restore the polychrome its full artistic, aesthetic and exposition values, as well as proper identification of the object, which was not a simple task. Development of my degree project was a great challenge and also a great adventure in which I could meet many wonderful people, decipher the enigmatic history of the object and learn a lot, including believing in my ability.
